Season Totals!

Now that we’ve had some time to decompress from the long growing season, the Lewisburg Community Garden is happy to announce the final stats from the 2015 growing season! We also took great strides to figure out how much this is all worth. Based on seasonal prices from the USDA, we grew an estimated $6,243 worth of produce in 2015! All in all, we did a lot of great things this year for local food programs. With such great support from Bucknell University and the greater Lewisburg Community, we hope to do even better next year. End of the Season

The Lewisburg Community Garden finished up all of its operations on Thursday, December 3rd. After two straight days of rain, our volunteers came out in good numbers and pulled out all the remaining plants left for the year. A few of our friends from Lambda Chi Alpha at Bucknell were instrumental in helping us haul away all the excess green matter for composting.¬†Two of our volunteers helped us end our season extension efforts by harvesting all the remaining spinach, kale, lettuce, and carrots.
