Back by popular demand, the Lewisburg Community Garden will host it’s annual plant sale at the Garden on May 7th starting at 9 AM! We will have a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flower starts available starting at just $3.
Right now we have yellow, red, and green onions, three varieties of kale, two of broccoli, three of cauliflower, six different kinds of flowers, some hot & sweet peppers, artichokes, and ten varieties of tomatoes all growing in harmony together in our greenhouse!
As you can see, we’ve been keeping pretty busy in the greenhouse getting these plants ready — so we need to give a big THANK YOU to Professor Mark Spiro and Wanda Boop for their contributions and expertise in helping us grow so successfully. Kyle and I are both much better with plants once they’re out of the ground and into our pots & pans at home, so this expertise makes all of this possible.
I also want to thank our awesome Work-Study students here on campus as well as Holly Valentine, our Youth Outreach Coordinator and fellow AmeriCorps Member for helping us plant almost 1,000 plants last Saturday!
Don’t forget to come by for your personal garden or your plot rental (applications now available on this site, by the way) on May 7th!
