Matt Varner

Hi, I'm Matt and I am the Food Access Coordinator with the Office of Civic Engagement at Bucknell University. My primary focus is to bring the food we grow in the garden out into the community to the people that need it most. I work with local Hot Meal Programs, Food Banks, and charitable organizations to make sure people have access to high-quality choices when they need a little extra help. I am a second-year AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) from York, PA. I graduated from Susquehanna University in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology where I primarily studied food, society, economics, and environmental sustainability. I'm a great cook from a Pennsylvania Dutch culinary background and I enjoy baseball, soccer, and swimming.
